Okay, here’s the first architectural style that I’m fond of: It’s a timber-frame house, commonly found through a lot of history; it dates back way before even Ancient Rome, but perhaps not to the caliber you see. This style really rose up near the beginning of the Dark Ages, at the fall of the Roman Empire. The timber-frame house gave way to intricate stonework in the 1200’s known as Gothic architecture, but it made its comeback in the 1400s with Tudor architecture. It continued to flourish to nowadays, in places such as England, where you can find really neat “‘cozy” shops and the like spread about in the theme.
